Good Eats: NINJA NYC

Hey all! So I have to share my latest restaurant experience with yall! This evening I dined at Ninja NYC with my boyfriend for his birthday. I made the reservations early this week so we did not have to wait long to be seated. I do recommend making reservations via Open Table or by phone through the restaurants itself. The restaurant is located in downtown Manhattan, near the 2 and 3 train at Chambers street. It is not your traditional Japanese restaurant, be prepared for a fun experience hence the name "Ninja". My boyfriend and I enterred the restaurant and took an elevator to the dining floor, warned to look out for ninjas. Now I don't know about yall, but as a New Yorker I don't like people jumping out at me. But the suspense was fun overall. We were directed to walk through this dungeon like hall, unsure of where we were going. A few ninjas did jump out and I almost lost my damn mind, while my boyfriend laughed at me. I have to admit it was hilarious. We finally reached the dining area and were seated. The service was great, although the waiters (ninjas) would walk pass our table and occasionally fake stab me with a fake sword, which I did not find amuzing while I was eating. The food was awesome though. I ordered the ninja burger, and my boyfriend ordered the shinobi burger which was this tall meatball burger with onion rings on it. To be honest his burger beat mine but they were both tasty nonetheless. Overall I give this place 4 out of 5 stars, just because I did not really enjoy the surprise ninja attacks. The experience was great though, I am glad we tried something new! So  I  recommend this place for birthdays or maybe a fun night out on the town; not so much for intimate dinners. Enjoy!
